k&n mod

i have an 07 er and i am adding a k&n filter and prefilter and removing the airbox, what am i supposed to do with the breather tube that comes into the airbox?

im not sure who makes it but there is a filter made for that line

are you sure you absolutly need to remove the box, your not adding that much more hp then if you just remove the lid, but are keeping a lot of protection

You can gut the entire back half of the air box out if you wanted. This still allows the the breather tube and mounts to the chassis.

i already cut the box from the top to the boot so i could get the boot off, so its kinda ruined, i could probably rig it back up to work but id like it alot more if the whole box is gone, it really wouldnt get any more protection if i cut the back half off if it wasnt sticking in the filter like stock, i dont mud it, just trails occasionally, mostly rock and blacktop roads... i definately dont want to just leave it hanging there tho

I guess the best thing would be if i could tap the air boot somehow and mount it into there...

i took my airbox off and its been good for 2 months of racing so far.
it only looks like it wants to fall off. tighten your clamps and itll be fine.
