Ive seen nicer sell for less...the frame is stock and nothing fancy with the suspension...

the cost of this quad is a lot of powder and chrome, its his design and ideas...
I like different colors and different parts then he used, the motor does look nice ... but for that price its not my perfect quad.I would still have to spend more money on that quad to have it the way I like ..

I think when troys Elsinore build is done that will be what I would sell my first child for.lol

Is that the 25.00 ebay cheapo lug extenders on the front? That is not something that you would want to see for your 10g.
IMO you can find a 2x better quad for less right here from our friends on the forums. An example would be Dans green one that just got parted. Would anyone value this quad as being worth more $ then Dans was? Maybe it's just me.

I gotta say, the first thing that always annoys me is "$150000 INVESTED"

First people are down right stupid if they "invest" their money in quads - you have a negative expectation on that investment of 50% or more.

Second, how ashamed would you be about spending $150000 on that machine? I myself would not be advertising that I spent $15000 on a stock frame, no rezzie front shocks, stock rear shock, stock a-arms, non-beadlock rims, Non-OEM plastic 250R.

I've never chromed anything, but that must be hella expensive - NOT worth it IMO. Probably has a 5% retaining value.

Its a nice motor package, doubtful it is actually 68 horse, but other than that he can keep it. I wouldn't trade my stock frame 89 for it as it sits right now...

Regarding the bike, you couldn't part that bike for 10k, not even close.

I would take the 6k if I was him. Because it will take another 4k to put a good frame, arms and shocks on it. I didn't look at the tires and wheels that would be another $750.

Someone trying to sell something, laying it on thick not uncommon...maybe his plan is to run the ad multiple times lowering the price until he gets the $4500 he actually may want for it. Still too much, but it works sometimes.

I wouldn't pay $4000. for that quad to be honest, so if I were him I would make sure I locked up that $6000. bid right now!

It never makes sense to sell one of these machines after you sink several thousands in to it. I just did it myself and the value of the quad to me is a high, I know the time and money I put into it, but it would never be worth it for me to sell it because I would lose thousands or have a forum on here saying that I'm asking too much for it. haha.

So for the majority of the 250r community who don't own/cant afford aftermarket frames.... We're all riding turds?

I think we can ALL agree that the price is too high, but it's still a nice looking machine.

No not by any means I am just saying that quad is in no way worth 10k.

If you look at my build thread in the hybrid section I refur to my own custom chassi crf as a turd, and it is who ever put the engine in messed it up. I didnt mean to affend you but some people just take word out of context.

A lot of us still have factory frames, but have much better invested in suspension. I think everyone is just saying that 10k for a dressed up bike isn't worth it.

I've got much better stuff on mine, but if I had to sell it, I wouldn't think I could even get close to that.

Bingo. For $10k, it's an absolute piece of junk. And $3k would probably be my absolute top dollar, I still wouldn't call it a "deal" at that price. Not with a stock frame.
