Rath 44 series nerf bars with monster pegs...ridden for a total of 2.5 hours on a smooth indoor track. excellent shape, the only thing i did was grind the pointy part of the stainless peg down a tad bit to keep from destroying boots. Comes with all the mounting hardware for a 2005. you can put these on an 06-09 with one different bracket i believe. $275 plus shipping
DWT front and rear wheels...were also brand new and only ridden for the same 2.5 hours indoors. fronts are honda bolt pattern, 4:1 offset rockout....$150 plus shipping or $250 plus shipping with almost new maxxis cross front tires 20x6x10.
Rears are the same...2.5 hours on them, honda bolt pattern, single beadlock, 8x8...$225 plus shipping or $325 plus shipping with almost new maxxis razr 18" tires.
GT Thunder +2 3/8 a-arms for 450r...also used 2.5 hours. Will come with bushings, ball joints, heavy duty tie rods, and brake line setup. $400 plus shipping
Takes a 16 5/8" shock...
HLS custom front shocks, 16 5/8", like new, new aluminum body style, set up for 175 lb mx... for a 450r. $500 plus shipping. Will sell shocks and a-arms together for $850 shipped.
RPM Dominator 2 axle....i believe it is a +1+3...i'll have to measure to be sure. It is straight and in excellent shape, includes sprocket hub. Only problem is the chrome chipped off part of it somehow and it now has rust stains on some areas. totally usable as is, just looks ugly...perfect for a practice bike or to powdercoat... $100 plus shipping.

Is there enough camber adjustment in the upper a-arms to be used on 06+ spindles?
How did you like the HLS for mx?

They will work on either spindles. And I really like the hls. They are on all of my quads.

Sorry man I think Ive decided on long travel
A A R O N
08-22-2011, 09:27 PM
these ARE long travel.
It's a common mistake to confuse "long travel" with "long shock". The actual wheel travel achieved with this setup is correctly tuned for proper up and down travel and also a major increase over stock.
A longer shock may be set up wrong and have more wheel travel, but it would be incorrect. The only differences you would see with a properly set up longer front shock would be more oil volume and a lot heavier. (unless air shocks or titanium springs). oh, and a lot more costly.

They may have more wheel travel then stock, but the shocks them self are not long travel at 16 5/8. I understand the concept of proper setup and you are correct they would work excellent if setup properly. But on the other hand a long travel front end suspension (using long travel a arms and an 18" to 20" shocks) that is setup properly offer much more wheel travel and more benefits. But thank you anyway. I just got a really good deal on a long travel setup.

And that is absolutely your choice. I just want people who may be interested in these to know that they are getting the exact correct amount of wheel travel with this setup....it may be a little more than some "long travel" setups, it may be a little less....it all depends how well or how awful the setup is. And to be clear, shock length alone does not determine the amount of WHEEL travel.
"much more wheel travel and much more benefits" is an opinion, unfortunately held by many undereducated riders who have been fed a line by a-arm and shock builders for years. There are absolutely benefits of long shocks. There are also definitely drawbacks.
I just want people to fully understand what they are buying here. ....and what it is is a setup that was not cobbed together. It was measured, built, measured again, finished being built, ridden, tested, and finished up.

I am not trying to discourage anyone from buying you shocks I simply wanted to let you know I choose another route on suspension so you wouldn't be expecting a response. There is nothing wrong with standard travel. I am not buying a run of the mill thrown together longtravel kit. I am nowhere near uneducated neither. Don't take it so personally when someone doesn't buy you items. Good luck on your sale and sorry I wasted your time.
