will not start after i ride for a little

i will ride for an hour or so and it runs great until i shut it off. it will crank but will not fire. If i unhook the battery for a second it will fire right up. i had a 2k 400ex but sold it for a 2005 and now im having this problem please help me if u can thanks

might be worth checking out the solenoid by the battery to see if it is releasing and working properly.

have you checked ALL connections? as allready stated... something may not working/resetting correctly.. anything other then disconnecting the battery make it start?? is it over heating?? any thing been done to it??
