mod 450r arms to fit 400ex?

I saw a set of arms on ebay modded to fit the 400ex and was wondering if anyone else has done it? and how much further apart are the mounts for the arms?

I was told the upper arm could bolt on but the lower was too wide, then I read online both arm mounts are too wide?

so if someone could measure the pivot mounts and post the measurements it would be a good start.

there are some threads on this if you google and spend some time looking into it. I just didnt think it was worth the effort when you can find a decent set of burgard or gt thunder a arms for like $400-$500. You have to move the rear mounts back and seems somewhat involved. I also saw those 450r modded a arms but idk if I wanna trust my life to just some dude on ebay. Not saying anything bad but who knows who this guy is...

google'd it last night it led back to here. there are pix and yes, he did move the mounts.

I'm mostly interested in dimensions on how far the mounts are apart. I'm curious if the top is a bolt on swap like I was told my a close friend.

do u have a 450r? I posted in the 450r forum and didn't get an answer on how far the pivot mounts are apart on the upper arms. outter edge to outter edge...

that was the most helpful thing I found on it. I've actually been searching it for over a week. but it didn't help me at all. just more informative then all the guys who're like you in 10-20 other hits I found :D

I joined the trx450r forum, and STILL don't have dimensions for the 450r upper arms...

oh, it's my wtb thread really but you can see I joined there and I do not own a honda so I mean, kinda easy to see where I've been looking on the net for support, that's how I even found that forum at all..

I know in my head, which bike has what width arms between the z400, 400ex and 250r, I know what length shocks they use stock. I know the 250r and z400 upper shock mount is the same distance from the upper a-arm mount and it's 1" higher than the lt250r. I learned if I swap to z400 spindles and hubs I can use yfz calipers (thus I have yfz calipers and z400 hubs/spindles on order) I found a set of arms that are +1+3/4" and use 19" shocks and figured on my 250 I need 18" shocks since the upper shock mount is 1" lower... I've searched for hours man. I have threads on about every quad forum that I'm a member of. I've searched everything2stroke and saw what my predecessors have made work before me. I have done quite a bit of homework. I only ask when I can't find an answer on my own...
