i raced one of my buddies yesterday he had a honda trx 700xx i could keep up with him but when he gets to 5th gear he pulls away any suggestions wat sproket size should i get? I also have a 450r carb which i havent installed yet!
450r carb will help, a larger front sprocket will give you speed where a smaller rear sprocket gives speed.
37T rear with a 15T front will give you about 3-4mph faster, a 16T front and 38T rear will get you about 5-6mph more.
But honestly he has 300ccs more than you do and just makes more power. You will not beat him.

if you have an 04- then you can go 16 tooth up front or 36,37 rear
new ones can go to a 15 or a 38
assuming you are running stock sprockets now.

you can experiment with that, it will get you pretty close.

ebay, pretty much any place that sells atv parts! and btw i'd reccomend steel sprockets due to longevity.
