Anybody put this 500cc twin 2-stroke into a quad yet? 110 HP @ 10,000 RPM. 40 HP off idle lol. Crazy.

I'd rather have an RZ500 motor.. It's a V4. 4-cylinders of two-stroke fury.

wow that's pretty crazy hp out of a 500. My SRX700 snowmobile only puts out 140hp, which comes out to 46hp per 230ccs cylinder. And that's in colder weather where the air is denser

Air is not denser in the winter. I always have to change the jetting in my 400ex to account for the thinner air, causing it to run much leaner.

The RZ500 with 4 125cc cylinders doesn't put out the torque that 2 250's do, however the RZ500 engine was built to be a modded 700cc (or two Banshee engines), it has a tranny built for a 1000cc 4-stroke. The 700 4-cyl would touch the torque of the 2 cyl. 500, and it'd have one massive mid-range hit.

"With it's twin cranks, the engine actually functions as a pair of 180-degree parallel twins geared together"

Hence the reason for "cold air intakes"

When the air is cold, the molecules don't move as rapidly and stay close together. With heat the molecules speed up and separate.
