Hi Guys,

First time i posted here. Im having problems getting the jetting set up on my quad. I started by putting a curtis sparks +6 timing key and uni filter, removing the choke and using a 42 pilot. It ran great. Didnt have to rejet. I just recently got a hmf with the quiet core and ehs lid. I figured i would try a 155 main with the 42 pilot. Put it in and try to fire it up....nothing. So then i start doubting that i have the jetting right. So i throw a 165 in because thats what hmf recommends, wont fire up either. Im at a loss so i put the stock 148 back in. It starts up until it warms up and then dies out again. Should i try a 152 main?

152 main and 2.5 turns out on the f/a screw would be my start and see how it does. also check your plug to make sure it isnt fouled out, maybe crank it a few times without the plug in it to blow some of the gas out of it.

Ok thanks. I will try that out. Would the fact that it runs with a 148 in until it warms up but it wont even start up with the 155 installed indicate that its getting to much fuel? I am at a loss with this jetting.

i guess it would depend on if you are trying to ride it and it just doesnt run or if it wont idle with the 155 in it.
