my friend is having prob. with his clutch on his 1986 atc 200x,he says it keep slipping and he wants to know want he could do to fix it without having to spend alot of money on a new one.and what is other mods for a 200x he just got new tires and he wants to know if he could put nerf bars on it for doin tricks,thanks

See if you can find new plates for it, you could probably find a set of nerf's that would fit, but you'll probly have to do some modifying. Get a pipe and jet kit for it to get a little more power.

i used to have a 84 200x wich was the same thing as the 86
# 1 with the clutch i had the clutch adjuster vibrate loose to where there wasnt enough tension in the cable, and i had to put some friction plates in it too, there not too expensive depending on what ya get
also on the x change the gearing my was fast enough to beat a 400 in a drag race but had crappy low end power! gearing can do a lot on those things!

instead of buying nerf bars right away why don't you put the money into a clutch and do it right and then save up for the bars. just my $.02
