I'm looking at buying a TV and from I've read people are pretty happy with the Mitsubishi DLP tv's. However I can't seem to find anyone talking about gaming on one? Anybody play a 360 or PS3 on a DLP? How do you like it? Have you played on a decent LCD TV and have a preference and why?

Thanks,
Anthony

DLP's are alright tv's but the problem they have is the fact that they use a lamp as a light source and those lamps go out quite often, usually 400-500 hours. Back when i was in tv repair we always used to joke that for every hour you watch your tv throw a dollar in a jar so you can buy a new lamp when they blow up. they range from 200-600 dollars for a new one with most averaging 300-350.

I have a 60" mitsibishi. I play a 360 on it. I've had it for 3 years and no problems. A new lamp runs around $250 and they say you can install it yourself at home.
