Thinking of parting out my green bike, or possibly selling it whole. I'd like to part it out and possibly keep some stuff for my next build, but if the price is right I don't mind sending this to a good home. No expenses were spared on this build, I will give a short run down of the list of parts on this bike. There is a ton more of goodies on it. No tire kickers, serious inquiries only.

This bike is in great shape, I'd rate it at least a 9 out of 10. It probably has about 50-60 hours on the bike after complete build. That's a generous estimate.

Arens Stock Replacement Frame
Laeger LT Plus 2 Arms - Newer Style
Laeger MX Swingarm Stock Link 88-89 Style/Length with TM Chain Sliders and Block
PEP Big Bottles Front and Rear - Fronts are Compression ZPS, Rear is Fully Adjustable ZPS - with front Covers - Front shocks are like new, rear was rebuilt at the time this was built. It needs a new bump stop. It's sprung/valved for a 260lbs rider - MX
CT ProCross 330 Cylinder Compression was at 195 when I bought it, it could be freshened up but in great shape
39PWK
ESR TRX9 Centermount - Newer style, no lable plate riveted on. I have the plate if you want it.
Will come with ITP Bajas with Like new Razr Rears and Razr 2 Fronts
RPM XC Axle Like New
DID 520 X-Ring Chain
ASV Levers
400EX Front Master
Polished Calipers
Like New Front HardKor Hubs
IMS Roll Design Heel Guards, Kick Up Pegs, and Nerf Bars
Duncan Bumper
Full Bore Plastics with CT Graphics HiFlite 88-89 Foam Fourwerx Carbon Hood
Renthal Fat Bars
Stainless Brake Lines
LSR Plus 1 Stem with Billet Clamps, Billet Block Offs, Etc
PWR Radiator
Full Bore Shrouds with Walsh style overflow bottle
V-Force 3 Reeds
CFM Air Box Eliminator with K&N Filter 86 Boot
HEP Brake Guard

I am sure I am missing quite a bit of parts, but that's the most of it.

Several members on here have rode this bike including KSRider, troybilt, KSRider's father, Etc. Etc. This bike rips. Put a 185lbs jockey on this thing that can ride, and it will holds it own. Oil changed religiously after rides, I am meticulous when it comes to my toys. It was QOTM when first build, but only better upgrades have come along the way.

Like I said, this bike was built from ground up, no money was spared. Everything has great powdercoat. Most of the hardware for suspension is OEM, much of the fasteners for things like radiator, grab bar, etc are Stainless Allen Heads. I hate to part this bike, but I am thinking of my family at this point. We are buying a new car soon, have a 2nd child on the way, plan to finish out the basement, and would like a SxS eventually.

If you are serious, shoot me an email at daniel.k.hung@gmail.com with an offer for complete quad. Everything for the quad was basically bought new, or like new condition.

Thanks for looking!
Dan

That was me on the net, Dan. That's fine, I don't need all of that.
Good luck with the sale.

Good luck with the sale.

I'll let you know if we have takers for everything else. This setup will work on a 88-89 frame for those interested.

I'll put up some pics tonight, hopefully.

I read your PM, want to give it a few days before this thing comes apart. I basically want stuff spoken for before it comes apart.

Posted some pictures in 1st thread. Just so you guys know, we leave on vacation this weekend and won't be home until June 26th. I will try to come up with some prices this week, and post to the 1st thread. If the part isn't listed, it's not for sale. Basically will swap some parts over to my Laeger.

Frame and motor go first, then this bike comes apart. All parts will be plus shipping and PayPal fees. For those that don't know, PayPal fees are 3% plus $0.30 per transaction. I will also accept money orders.

Most, if not all shipping will be FedEx Ground and will have insurance to the purchase price amount. I will have shipping quotes within a couple dollars, once the parts are boxed I will take a measurement and weigh the item. Let's communicate via email, it's a heck of lot easier and I do not have to worry about my inbox being full, etc.

Thanks for all the inquries so far, and more importantly being patient.

I hope you find a buyer for the whole bike Dan.

It'd be a shame for another nice bike like this to be parted.

Good luck on the sale!

Thanks Jesse! I appreciate the nice comments. This bike made the 1st R Calendar and I hope my new Laeger makes the 3rd. :D

This was also QOTM in 2009, but some parts have been upgraded along the way. Those pictures were taken last night after I powerwashed it.

Please read the comments I post here... I was pretty clear with the prices of items and when those would be available. Would prefer to sell as a complete quad, however parting will gurantee me more money. I am not hurting for money and I don't need to sell this thing, just putting the family first and preparing for our 2nd child, which means a new SUV and finishing a basement.

Currently, I have three potential buyers of complete quad. I will ship this anywhere in the world at 100% buyer expense. I am an honest fellow, so no worries on that part. You will have all tracking information, and as much insurance as you want.

Thanks for being patient everyone.
Dan

Are those roll nerfs made for a 250r or were they made for something else and you modified them to fit? Because they look like they fit real nice. I'd really like a set of roll nerfs for my LOBO, but I'm not sure if the TRX 450 nerfs will fit? My Lobo has propeg mounts on the frame in the front!! Please help, lol!

danhung11
06-18-2011, 12:08 AM
They are a 450R model and fit like a glove, just not OJ's. :D I can get you some measurements when I return from vacay...

You need an Arens in your stable Higgy?

Higgy87TRX425
06-18-2011, 12:19 AM
LOL! I like the looks of ur bike, but I was thinkin Walsh next, ha ha! So 450 huh? I suspected? Some measurements would be good. Then I'd know if they would line up with the propeg mounts. These mounts might just turn out to be a pain in the butt! I bought a set of AC racing nerfs for my Lobo, but I don't think that they are gonna mount up right. They have a standard mounting setup in the front like you would use on a stock bike. I think that they were made for the BAJA Lobo frame?? A Lobo made without propeg mounts welded to the frame in the front? Plus the nets are really small. they only have 2 strips of fabic comming off each tube. They look like this (#) if you understand that I'm saying? SO I'd rather go with the Roll nerfs!!

danhung11
06-18-2011, 05:02 AM
These nerfs will probably bolt onto any 88-89 style TRX250R, or 86-87 with IMS Pegs. Check out the front mounts, they basically slide anywhere with the frame rails, universal really. The eye to eye on these are 14.5", where my Laeger Pro Pegs are 16.5".

If someone wanted these on a stock framed bike, you could use the u-bolts, or go and get some 90* u-bolts at the hardware store. They fit like they were made for this bike, no cutting, bending, wrestling, etc. Definitely one of the nicest sets of nerfs I've owned.

Here are some pics of the front mounting design...

This picture was posted earlier, but thought I would throw it all in one reply.

As far as the 450 comment, I've been messing around with these R's for years, and still have a slew of motors, parts, etc. I am sure I will build another someday, but I have my eyes set on a new Walsh CRF450 Fuel Injected. So yes, it's a 450 but not the run of the mill 450! :macho My first two bikes were 4-strokes, then I fell in love with 2-strokes, then aftermarket framed 250R's, and now want to build a hybrid. I've already talked chatted with the Walsh bros... so I have my vision already. :D

LOL! I meant were those Roll nerf bars originally for a TRX 450r? I have the Roll pegs and Trx 250r heel guards I just really want a set of Roll Nerfs for the front, but if I can't find a set that will mount up to the pro-peg mounts then I just won't run them. I'm gonna have to take some measurements tomarrow. I ran outta time today. I was busy Waxing the fresh Powdercoat on the LOBO and all the new chrome that I just got!! I'll get the measurements tomarrow and see what is gonna work for me. That would be sick if the ROll TRX 450r nerfs would line right up??? We shall see!! I think that a new fuel injected 450r would be pretty nice for a 4-poker!!! If thats what ur gonna build Danno!

danhung11
06-19-2011, 09:03 AM
Higgy, the nerfs are a 450R model. Heel guards and pegs are 250R, bolted right up. I will not buy a production quad for myself, for what the MSRP price goes for on the new 4-strokes, I'd rather call Mike Walsh and buy a brand new CRF chassis. And this one will be fuel injected my friend. :D

I plan to get some prices today or tomorrow, got a 8 hour train ride tomorrow so I should have some time to put it all together. That said, I'd prefer to sell stuff in bundles. For example, swingarm will have LSR twin row billet carrier, stainless pinch bolts, new Laeger seals, TM Designworks Block & Sliders. Plastics will come with hood, seat, seat catch powdercoated candy blue, billet seat latch in rear, new OEM front seat grommets, Fourwerx hood.

Replied to your email. I am keeping the chrome cover, but have a natual finished cover just as nice. It needs a buffing on it and will shine. It was shiney, but a few dune trips dull it down.

Thanks,
Dan

NOTE: PRICE SHEET IS DOWN AT THE BOTTOM OF FIRST POST. For those that I spoke to over the phone, will honor those prices. I can work with you in packages. Nothing will be available until the chassis and motor are paid for, I don't want to be stuck without a running bike if no one wants the frame or motor. Thanks for being patient, just back into town today.

Dan, how do you like the radiator grille for airflow? I was thinking of getting one of those cause the OMF seems to limit the airflow a bunch.

It really doesn't restrict it as much as you think. Our last dune trip, the temperature was about 102-105 degrees F. I made about 4-5 passes down the drag strip, then Troy made about 4-5 passes on my bike. When I came over to look at my thermostat, it read about 205 degrees F. That said, my bike is tuned a little on the fat side for dune riding basically WOT the entire time. It only heats up when there is no air flow. I hope that answers your question. I have the OMF on my other bike with PWR, it should be fine as it appears there is more airflow. It typically runs about 190 with 50/50 mix, or cooler with the other stuff out there...(i.e. engine ice, etc.)
