Ok, I just put on the new 39mm carb after the port work and new exhaust, anxious to fire it up,,it wont start. It keeps acting like it wants to start, itll pop just for a quick second and only after i give it major throttle and then let off. Im assuming my carb came ready to go from C&D, but anyways, here is what the plug looks like. To me, and I could be wrong, it seems like it isnt getting any fuel at all.

if you werent getting fuel it would be like white on rice on a paper plate in a snowstorm...lol i like the movie 'major payne' as you can tell. but when you buy a carb, you have to set it up for YOUR machine, just from what i've seen though. if it was true color in those pics it looks like your looking rich. too much gas. can you wipe any oil or liquid off the plug?

just got back trying to compression start it, same results, a few pops here and a few wannabe's jumps here but still no full starting of motor.
Taking it into the shop tomorrow.

NOt familear with FCR's but is there a float drain screw..if so unscrew it and see if there's even gas getting to the carb..you might have a pinched gas line or something..

I had that problem with my stocker. Had to end up putting the gas on reserve for a few mins. before trying to start it to fill up the carb. It worked perfect after...

By the way you are definitly running rich if anything...
