SHOOTING WITH A CANON SLR 40D HAVE A 70-200 2.8 ANY INPUT TO GET A LITTLE CLOSER

Ive never used one but I know alot of people use a teleconverter.

you could go to a 70-300 or similar lens and get quite a bit closer. that is a great lens for up close imo after using a 18-55, 18-200, and a 70-300 the stabilization is the actual canon ones is def nice also for if you do alot of action shots.

:rolleyes: I use mainly for 30 years a 85mm1.2 ...
And to shoot ATV, that's a good length for any uses day, night, panning and freezing ..

I use also sometimes a 24mm and a more than 20 years old 300mm2.8

I gave up to use slow zooms ... anyway, I never had time to zoom :D I can't track and zoom at he same time .. I prefer to take time to find the place on the track to get the sun on the right place or be on the right angle and height to shoot. I have never found an interest to zoom more than to move my feet..
