Ive been in and out of racing for the last couple years with health problems. My health is improving and im hoping to make a come back either late this year or nxt. I race B class and rather than spend a bunch of money on my pretty stock YFZ ive been looking at the XMX's. What are the differences in years and what updates need to be made if any or is there anything I need to watch out for? I will prolly be buying either a 2011 or a 2010 left over.

just make sure you get the racer program to save money.

i think 2011 dont have the pink wire.

if you have the money buy the mx. if not you can pick up a 2009 for like $4000 new with the racer program and build it from scrach.

And I will definately be getting a MX. By the time I get around to buying this winter I will be able to afford it.

The 2011 XMX ,
the racer program includes a race mapped ecu from BRP that is better than the pink wire mapp.
Buy the steering stem setup , and also ask for the 50 mm throttle body , sr4 g2 exhaust and a BCS intake ... that setup will win 90% of all B class races, A-class ,,, not so much .
if your skill level is high , you need to have the kyb's matched to your weight , and valved accordingly or buy some pep's

There are several "packages" that you can purchase when you sign up for the BRP rider program ,
this particular pkg includes a plus 1 steering stem , a set of handlebars and clamps , they offer the pkgs to you at a MAJOR discount , since you will be buying an XMX you should not need the other pkgs as they come stock on XMX's

Thanks 525 for all the info. I found a 2011 xmx for 8400 because a family member is friends with the owner of the dealership but im not ready to buy. I may wait until the 2012s come out and try to get a leftover cheeper since I wont be able to race this year with my health problems anyways. Before my health problems started a couple years ago I could run near the front in B on my basically stock YFZ. I finished in the top 3 a lot but could never win. All I had was a plus 2 stem, 20 and 18 holeshots and retarded cam. Other than that it is completely stock even the exhaust was stock with no baffle. A Xmx is going to be a huge improvement for me. I definately want the ecu, pipe and 50mm tb and I think I can win with it when I get healthy

Im assuming my Flexx bars will fit the Xmx stem right?

You wont have a prob with you flexx bars mounting up. The xmx and xxc come stock with 1 1/8 clamps!

Thanks for all your help guys its killing me that I can't race this year so I'm really looking forward to next year. I was paralyzed for unexplained reasons a year and a half ago for a short time and I'm still fighting pain in my legs. Made a comeback attempt last year and didn't go well. Finally headed in the right direction to getting healthy. Got to ride for the first time in months this weekend!

It was muddy but after not riding in months I didn't care.
