So today I installed my hmf slip on and a k&n filter lid on. 160 main and a 42 pilot and put all back together... All is ok runs good... But on the idle adjust my idle does not change at all??? I can turn it all the way one way or the other and nO change??? All is cleaned and working??? Also do I adjust the fuel screw? A little help
Air/Fuel screw should be about 2.25-3 turns out from all the way in.
As for the idle, I had the same issue-the screw thing broke.
Take the carb off, open the side up and see if it moves as you screw it.

well it seems to move good and all...when is air fuel screw located??
Bottom of the carb, its a flathead looking screw near the idle.
Check for air leaks if it wont idle down, make sure the boots are on the carb properly and such.

Then your throttle is to tight, back it off.

Well why would the idle not adjust with the idel adjust on the carb side????

B/c the throttle is to high and overiding the idle. When you adjust it at the throttle it pulls the carb open slightly. Lower it then try adjusting the idle.

It ya.... You think that is the issue??? Cause I turn it alot both ways and no idle?? Seems strang... I got a 42 pilot in there... I had it apart all was clean now it just don't idle unless I pull on throttle a little??? So adjust the throttle back and let it stall? Then mess with the idle ??? Confused now lol
Yes, adjust down the throttle then mess with the idle screw. Like I said you gotta make sure its turning and pushing the idle up-it can be broken.
That or you have an air leak as stated before.

Will the little spring not get pushed down??? How will I know
Right now the throttle is to tight and pulling on that spring-thereby raising the idle so much the idle adjustment screw is doing zilch. You back off the throttle and adjust the idle as I said before.
Take the side plastic cover off the carb, watch the spring piece-it should move as should the threaded portion of the screw in there thats attached to the idle adjustment screw. on the outside.

So remove the black cover on the side and see it idle is doing the job? Then adjust fuel air screw out??? And where is its exact location?
I think you need to take it to the dealer.....Not trying to be rude, but I described what to do like 5x by now.
