The videos you guys have been putting up with these things are pretty awesome, and now I really want to get one. I looked on amazon and ebay at them, but it seems like there are quite a few different models to choose from. Is it defintley worthwhile to get the HD one, or are the regular wide angle ones alright?

HD is the way to go. The picture is much more crisp then the standard. Look into the Battery Bac-Pac and and the LCD Bac-Pac as well.

HD ones are sickkk. The picture and sound is much better then the regular. I have two of them and I put them in my race car, couldn't be happier.

I bought the WIDE version non-HD and like it just as well as the HD ones because the HD require a 32gb SD card and it uses the space in no time. Not to mention the length of time to upload it is crazy. About 2hrs for a 1080p 5min video on high speed connection.

here is my video with the standard non HD. If you dont mind the riding i was breaking in a fresh motor and trying to take it easy so its nothing compared to a race. its a good quality after youtube took alot of it so its not as clear online as it is on my computer drive.

this is simply not true. I run a 64gb card and had well over 4 hours of straight filming from the dunes last weekend.

when copying the files from the camera to my workstation sunday night it took 24 minutes start to finish.

I think he means it takes a long time to upload to a video site like youtube.

sorry, I misunderstood.

Loading anything up to youtube takes forever. There are much better sites like veimo and the likes.

I cant load most of my videos to youtube from home. I drop them on a thumb drive and take them to work to do it.

I have a 16gb card and the HD GoPro, the battery will run out before I fill up the entire card if I non-stop film no matter what setting you use.

You don't need a card bigger than 16gb for this camera unless you buy the battery pack and plan on filming a couple hours worth of video.
