LRD adjustable pipe?

What does lengthening or shortening the expansion chamber on these pipes do?
I have one mated to a LRD 310pv with a 38AS and was wondering how to set it before I started tuning the carb.

Hey Matt,

Lengthening or Shortening the LRD pipe adjusts where the Power Band HITS.

In is for shortening and raising the RPM range

OUT is for Lengthening and lowering the RPM range

I haven't tested it or seen it on a dyno but I beleive it's a couple hundred RPM's either way.

So if your bike is lacking some bottom end .....move it out and if it needs more top end move it in.

Trial and error basically....it depends on your porting too....so just adjust it till you like it.
