400ex Carb Problem

I bought a brand new 2008 400ex for christmas and after 2 months of riding the carb was leaking gas out of the drain tube. I unscrewed the screw to drain the carb and it worked but it still does it every now and then. Is there something wrong with my float or is it something else?

there is sand or dust in your neatle valve. take off the boal and clean the jets and any ports that you see with carb claner

yeah i gotta do the same...did that work, i have cleaned my buddies five times and it leaks when its sitting until you turn the gas off but other wise while ridding its fine!

the thing that ive been doin is just unscrewin the bolt in the carb and it drains all the gas out then it stops then, then later on whenever it does it again so i just do the same thing till it stops.

because no one else has mentioned it, take apart the bottom bowl of the carb, take the float needle out and clean it. While your at it remove the float and put it in a small container of gas-it should float-it dont you need a new one.
