Hey guys having a hard time keeping my bike cool on the trails. I do alot of pits and hill climbs and my bikes constantly running 225-240. I'm looking to put an electric fan on the radiator but don't know what will fit. I just spent 400 for a pwr radiator and next is a boyesen water pump and fan. Any ideas guys?

maybe try some engine ice coolant and some inline coolers?

I'm thinking you have another problem somewhere. Every time I've had heat issues with one of my hybrids it never turned out to be cooling system. Check your jetting? you may want to richen up a little if your not getting good air flow. Also head gaskets are a prime suspect of heat issues.

I have a fan on my Laeger. It was on the quad when I got. Reason for it was that the motor that was previously in it was huge, and had to be bump started, pretty much could not be kicked from what I understand. He would run the fan when the quad was idling in staging. Its a pretty simple design, just a simple electric fan with a switch, and a small battery tucked up under the hood. He would re-charge it after the race, and be good to go.

I know trail tech makes stator kits for the CRF bike engines, I would bet you could rig something up to charge a small battery or maybe just run the fan directly.
