Yes, but honestly dont bother with either. Find some shell rotella T 15w-40, it runs excellent in our bikes and is only 13 bucks/5 qts.

Is there any special type of rotella to look for? Full synthetic, half synthetic or all natural?

If somebody could post a pic of the bottle or the 5qt jug, that would be great:)

Stop your bs. If it didnt work, I and many other people would say otherwise and tell everyone to stick with honda oil. Honda oils nothing special, its overpriced whatever conventional or semi synthetic or whatever they buy from a major oil distributor for pennies and mark up 1000%. Why people pay for it I will never know, but its up to an individual to choose what they want to do-all I can do is suggest.

Use regular old conventional rotella, you can use the synthetic but I prefer conventional. My EX runs well, doesnt burn oil and the oil looks clean after many rides unlike many other oils I tried (even mobil 1!).

Should I do 10w40 or 15w40?

^ Your call, I prefer the 15w-40 myself as its slightly thicker.

I want it to run a little cooler so the 15 would be it then, right? And Rotella T1 is what I need for the conventional, right?

Thanks CJM. I went and got some last night and I will say it feels good to buy a gallon of oil for 12 dollars, vs. a quart of HP4 for 10:D

Thats how I see it, Royal purple is the BEST oil and its still only 7/qt. Honda robs you on oil prices.

Course you could be like my buddy, cant recall the brand but his 2 stroke oil is 50 for a gallon.
