penrose commons, in penrose, colorado are the desert looking ones, and rollins pass in rollinsville, colorado. are the bigger mts and valley pics

i never got to ride out there. can`t imagine it. so much woods! how`s the altitude affect the 400? my v8 felt like a v6 out there

cool stuff. Only riding in CO i have done is in Routt National Forest. Bro in law has a cabin up there and there are hundreds of miles of trails and logging roads up there we rip thru, closest city up there is Cowdrey i think.

i haven't been up to cowdrey area just yet....and yeah the 400 isn't nearly as snappy then when i was back at 700 ft above sea level. you lose 3% horsepower for every 1000 feet you go up, so when i was at 10,000 feet i am loseing 30% of the power my 400 makes. so yeah you can feel it!

beautiful area, much like your pics. It is the first thing i thought of. Only sad part is all of the dead trees from the pine beetles.
