looking for nice yz450 engine

I picked up a nice lonestar yz frame. Looking to start another project. Anyone have a YZ450 engine that they are looking to get rid of? All electrical included would be nice.

I have a 08 yz450 with all electrical and carb sitting on my bench. A friend bought it off e bay and it wouldnt fit in what he was putting it in so it has sat ever since. We never started it but suppose to run great with minimal hours. 1800$ is what he is asking for it.

you said it did not fit in what he was putting it in. Was he trying to put it in a lonestar YZ frame? I not sure what year engine fit in the lonestar frames. This frame is an 04.

its a 08 or 09 motor. He was trying to put it into a houser 426 frame. Does not fit with out a lot of work

trx/lt500 I pm'd you, but do want to tell you I had to dimple my frame on my lsr to get this 06 motor in. My frame was made to fit anything from a 98-2004, the newer years have a larger case because the oil is housed inside. my lower mount was slotted from lsr, I could take a pic for you, my frame was an 03. Not all lsr frames have the slotted lower mount though. but if its for an 04, it should fit. I'll post a pic of dimpling the frame.
