Whats the highest gear your 400ex will pull up in.... Alot of people don't believe that my stock 400 will pull up in 4th without a problem...

Mine will stand up in 4th without the clutch when you get it just right. You really have to pull hard on it tho.

also specify if your foot is in wheelie bar or now. I can pop it up in 4th with my foot in the wheelie bar but not in the normal position.

my 300 will go up in third with a pipe, never tried forth

5th depending on what tires i have on it and the gearing.

5th with my foot on the bar....4th in normal position.

i have rode a wheelie from 1st gear all the way to 5th gear on my 400cc and rode it at full throttle and got it stuck with the front end sticking up in the air so i had to get off and push the front end back down

i can pull mine up in 5th but i have alot of leverage 6'4" and 210lbs. with no foot in the grab bar. i was clocked on a blacktop road at 70 mph doing a wheelie and i went for about 1/4 mile no chit

its hard in 4th but she'll come up if you do it right!

my freinds that have 400 can get them up in 5 on gravel, and one has a wb full system:eek2:

on my 300EX I can do 4th gear feet on pegs wheelies (takes a few tries)
5th gear is hard when feet are on grab bar.

5th gear is hard on my R when sitting down, feet on pegs, but has been down. 6th is impossible. With 88-89 gears it would probably be easier in 5th, yet still impossible in 6th (or just downright SICK! :blah )

Iv had my 440ex up in 5 acrosed the lake the studed tires do wonders.:D :macho

i can do 4th sitting on the seat if i slip the clutch a little to help. 3rd gear is no problem. never really tried 5th but i doubt i could do it. i need to get a little taller and gain a little wieght. i'm too small.

My ex is bone stock and I just gas it and it will come right up in 4th , and slowly in 5th , I'm not a big guy either.
