View Full Version : Swing arm carrier removal.

Got the axle off today im and planing to take off the old and put on the new Swing arm carrier tomorrow. Did any one do this that could tell me an easy way to take it out? Thanks

once the swinger pinch bolts are out the carrier should slide out.

dont forget the retainer clip that holds on the brake stay. that will cause it not to move, it is on the brake stay side.

i did it the first time, man you would think that sucker would slide right out till you figure out that theres a clip lol. hahahaha

That clips a royal PITA. It always takes 2 me sets of hands to get it off quick. By myself its fun lol :D

Good thing you remembered to mention the clip, I figured he already had it out.

I found that if you use 2 small size flat head screw drivers, you can pry up the clip on one side, then push it out a lil and slide like changing a tire it will pop right out.

Kinda like the flat head chain link trick.

a pair of snapring pliers works exelent also

a bit late but...

i use needle nose pliers on them to pull them in then slide a small flat head under them to get it started. I work the flat head around the clip and work it out that way.
