Do the 300x's have plastic gas tanks?, and will the tanks fit with the old style maier race cut plastics?

I know that. I'm wondering if stock 300x's gas tanks are plastic and if they will fit the old style 300ex plastics??

The only plastic tanks for a older 300ex are aftermarket by either IMS or Clarke. The originals OEM are metal I believe the new revamped 300ex, look like 450R, have plastic.

All the aftermarket tanks will fit under aftermarket plastic. Only issues I know of depends on what type of steering damper you are using or type of steering stem. If I remember right read on here where someone was having a issue with that.

Yea I was looking at some new style 300x's, and didn't think the tanks would work, but just making sure. Thanks for the reply

The newer tanks are metal. And they are all pretty much the same.

anyone know if a clark oversize tank will work with a 300ex/350x swap? the head of the engine is a little taller so trying to figure this out but i dont think anyone has tried it yet...or better yet for anyone that has this tank can you tell me where the added fuel is? is it by the stem and is that why you need the +1 or +2 stem? if its added at the bottem? if so then its a no go and it will answer my question.:ermm:
