How do these stack up to the other frames out there..I've heard some parts dont fit as easily as the other frames...Just wondering because I'm looking at a arens framed R and didn't know if it'd be a headache replacing stuff when it breaks or wears out

I just built an arens 250r and had no fitment problems at all. From what I have read their durability and strength is even superior to lonestar frames. I think the only difference is arens used a cr brake pedal..

Great frame, the only reason I think they never caught on, is because they didn't offer other rear suspension options like lsr, gibson, walsh, laeger, jb etc...

John Arens used to come on the website fairly often. He later got involved with making frames for the Cobra Mini quads and I imagine it took a lot of his time, because he didn't visit us nearly as often.

Unless he changed his screen name, his last post was 2004.

I have an Arens framed R, first aftermarket chassis I've owned. It's built tough, and is a direct stock replacement frame. Only things that don't bolt up, that I've experienced, is "some" nerf bars and the pipe bracket. If you need more info, let me know.

One on eBay sold last night for $599 plus $125 shipping. Good deal!

On a side note, is John now a writer/editor for an ATV magazine? I'm thinking it's the same John Arens....

Yeah Dan, that was my frame. I was hoping it would've brought about $200 more.

Keith

I remember that article....

Someone needs to make a sticky with all the TRX 250r articles DirtWheels has done.

Would be very fun to read.

I would also have to assume that someone has done a full on comparrison for a built MX 250r against a built MX 450r. Id like to see that.

I know dirt wheels did a nice write up stock for stock 250r vs 450r awhile back.

I know, it was on my watch list. I also sent it to socal since he was wanting to buy mine. In my opinion, it didn't help listing it as a drag frame....

What was final value fee? Robbery!
