Anybody ever heard of these c2b shocks? They don't look bad just wondering if anyone has any experience with them..

Titanium springs fully adjustable dual rate long travel, compression and rebound adjustable. This guy want to trade me for a set of fasst flex bars, almost seems to good to be true..

They look nice, but just doing an internet search I can't find anything on them.

My google search came up empty as well!Do you know the specs?Eye to eye length?What were they on?They almost look loik a reworked Elka?Is c2b not a manufacturer but a company that works on shocks?If they are a common long travel length,that may be a good trade for you,even if you were to sell them!

oh. theyre called c2p. long travel set up for 160lb mx rider with +2s, high/ low valve compression, and rebound. he said they are adjustable from 18.5-19.5" long.

Adjustable length?Don't think so!Eye to eye is always set,only ride height can be adjusted!Unless those knobs at the bottom are the adjustment?

That's what I thought, but they came off of a trx 450r so the length should be good, right?

Just got off the phone with R2D2 and he confirmed with C3PO that the C2P shocks are indeed manufactured on the planet Naboo! www.c2pshocks.com

Just by looking at their website, doesn't give me a very good first impression of the company.

Lol.. Wow, thanks. They are definatly their own shock. There wasn't a whole lot of info because they're updating their website. But everything seems like its metric, shaft size, length, etc.. I wonder if this Will cause a problem for getting them serviced? Although they do make a lot of showa and kyb replacement parts..

I just talked to the owner, he said they are in North Carolina. He also said when elka was first getting started he did a lot of their engineering, they prominently do pit bike shocks and they basically dominated the industry in Europe. If anyone else has any info or experience with this company I would greatly appreciate it.

With the minimal info available, they look to be a pretty nice shock. Looks like they have more technology then our big names??

No, I totally forgot about that... he said he could get me into a brand new set for about $600 though..

Next question is where are the parts made? China or UK or US? China can do some things right if the quality control is pressed but this is something that I would like to know.

From what I've gathered he makes everything. Bodies, shafts, valves, rezzies, and shims. He said he even makes a lot of upgrade parts for showa and kyb shocks. He said everything is custom made for your application they don't stock atv shocks.. seems like a lot of work for $600, no?

no not really Will, high volume production runs bring the prices down. If you do deside to trade and run these shocks we need a ride report. $600 for a set of shocks is cheap

That's what I thought, I'm not sure if I'm gonna trade or not because ill have to buy a set of lt a arms and another set of Flexx bars so ill be pretty well invested in something I've never heard of. I like to gamble, just not with my R:D

I would make the trade!You should switch from Flexx bars to Precision clamps anyhow!:D So this guy would take $250 for these shocks?Thats what a good used set of Flexx bars cost!Could you find out what arms he had them mounted to and also the "actual" eye to eye length!

He swears that the length is adjustable from 18.5-19.75" but he had them on a 450r with +2 lonestar arms.. so I'm assuming they are at least the correct length.

I cant see how there adjustable for length im not sure if that would work or not plus 450r long travel shocks are longer than a 250r by an inch or so

C2P has some really neat stuff! I don't think they're a big player in the ATV market, but can build whatever lengths and setup you want. Was the $600 price quote for a new set of piggybacks? That's a good deal if it is, hmmm. I'd be a little concerned about their spring rate choices and valving, but if you provided them with good feedback I'm sure they could work with you. Otherwise, I'd be willing to help you out with them.

With regards to his adjustable length statement. Either he thinks adjusting preload changes the length (which is clearly wrong). Or, there are internal spacers that can be removed to adjust the length; however, this also changes compressed length unless there's an external spacer too. Quite often Axis and some other shocks have internal spacers, so they can be adjusted for different arms, etc.

Yes, that price was for a brand new set of piggybacks. My main concern is that they use metric sizes for their shafts and lengths. now length isn't so bad but would I have to send them back to c2p for servicing as most others use standard (5/8") shafts? Or are these 14 and 16mm shafts common sizes as well? If anyone on here wants the guys info id be glad to give it to you, I just don't think I want to convert everything to long travel right now. I'm sure he Will let them go for $200 or $300..

I wouldn't worry about getting them serviced; for the most part, a shock is a shock. The shock builder might have to get parts specifically from C2P; so that may take a little longer. A builder who isn't used to these shocks wouldn't know how to tune them very well without testing on a quad or dyno.
