Questions about Roll Design pegs for the 86-87 trx250r

I did a roll search in this section and went 12 pages deep without finding this answer. Are the roll design pegs that used to be made for the 86-87 trx250r in the stock location or are they repositiond down and back? Did they over the years maybe make them both ways?

I have them and they are in the same position as 86/87, they are further back and lower than stock 88/89 pegs for sure.
