ok guys this is not a thread on how fast quads are so no fussing lol so on that note here it is lol. so at the drag race (on dirt) i went to this weekend i raced a highly moded 400ex and beat it a slightly modded 400ex beat it a slight modded 450r and a stock ltr 450. i beat them all but the ltr i beat him once and the 2nd time he got me by about 1 foot . i noticed that on the holeshot i spun more than i should. im running 8lbs in the rear whitch are 18in turf tamers and 14 front whitch are stock 22s. so i dropped the rear to about 4.5 and now no mater where i set i either wants to wheelie or slide around so my question is . what is a good psi to run in my rear and front tires and what is a good holeshot consist of?

there is no magic number, everyone sits at a different position on the bike and has different clutch release techniques. just play around with them until you find something that works out. what gear do you start in?

might want to try a different tire I use the pure sport realtors and 10 paddle haulers on dirt. they both hook really well especially after its been loostened up a bit. the lower the pressure the more it should hook up you just have to find a happy medium between wheelie and spin

your going to have to shift your weight quicker, just like eastside said its all about body position,

18 rear/22 front is a horrible combo, try dropping your front tire size and keeping your butt over the rear tires, the smaller fronts will help keep it down.
