Hotcam Stage 2 Issue

I am really concerned/puzzled as to how my cam bearing setting pins were just laying around in the pockets on the side of the head... What could have caused this to happen?? I noticed my bike was a tad bit out of time today and I was so glad to have pulled the valve cover when I did to prevent any damage to my head. Is there any known issues with Hotcam camshafts having problems with the cam bearing setting pins??

it is possible you didnt insert them far enough, or perhaps the timing chain is stretched and allowing the cam to wander slightly.

Okay guys I have found my problem. I feel so stupid/lucky right now... It turns out that I had not pushed the setting pins all the way in the head when I assembled everything before. I was looking around and found that out by accident. I pushed down with my thumb a little harder than I normally would and to my surprise, went down all the way inside the hole. Thank God I did not harm any of my head components!!!:eek:
