I got rear ended by a trash truck this morning while stopped in traffic. My rear bar, bumper, trailer kit, and hitch are tweaked. The bumper cover and upper tailgate have to re painted now... Damn I hate that Shyt,......

Just got an estimate.. about 2 grand worth of damages.. Iwill post pics later but most of the damage is under the plastic bumper, etc where you can't see like bumper, bumper mounts, bumper cover, hitch mount, etc..... The labor to re sand the plastics and re paint them is what cost a lot since it is tons of work.... Plus my friggin back is killing me....

Here you can see where the bar folded in on the bumper.

Also look at the line going up and down. That should be my hitch drop angle.

This is a close up of the driver side bumper where it buckled and cracked the paint...

Here you can see when folded all the chips that occured on the passanger side bumper. On the plastic on the top of the tail gate it also chipped in a few places where it was hit.

Here you can see where the light bars are hitting the tweaked bumper. It should have about a 1/2 inch space on both sides. The other side is fine but not this one. Also notice how much the center bar folded in, it should have gone out all the way to the line.

Every place there is a step on the rear bumper it is two pieces. WHen it was hit all the steps moved against the bumper with a jolt. Since it is pressure fitted on the bumper you can notice the chips that occured.

Yeah even my body guy said if it weren't for my bars he would have folded the rear frame as well and the tailgate would have been gone. So I guess they do work.... lol

Yeah I was gonna put it in the shop next week anyways to redo the lift bigger to fit my new 40's with 20 inch rims... It was gonna be in the shop for about a month I figured since I was gonna be re powdercoating and chroming the suspension. At least it was shot for SUV Truckin before... lol

Dude, if your even remotely hurting, I would go. I don't know much about the law and stuff, but if you decide to go a week later because its still bothering you, you might have a much more difficult time collecting on pain and suffering. At least go so you can show the lawyer.

I think I'm gonna go in today even thou it seems to be getting a bit better but I'll know for sure a tthe end of the day. Yesterday it was OK but I guess with the standing, etc. it just got worse and worse... Well wish me luck guys.... waiting for a call from the other guys insurance co. today also. We'll see what happens
