What gearing do most of the bikes run on a 65/70cc machine?
I have been told 13/52 is the most common.
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Tom

If thats the case then i am way off.I am at 12/35.Been using 12/40 just to help him learn how to shift and it's super low geared.13/52 would pull a house down.

Yeh I just don't get it. The rest of the pack just leaves Hunter. I know he's still learning. But I'm just seeing if I'm missing something or not.
I think I'll try the 13/48.
Does that keep up with the pack?

We ran a 13/48 on the cobra based bikes with the snow hog tires. On the mod bike with full sized tires we would run a 13/50 or even a 13/52 depending on the track. I don't belive the gearing is as important as learning to ride these little two strokes with one finger on the clutch. I also found that when Will was learning, it worked better if I gave him a narrow and less aggressive tire so that it would spin more coming out of a corner and help keep the rev's up. As he learned to feather the clutch I could give him more tire.
