I a have a stop 2011 apex 90 that we race in XC and am thinking about putting the Malossi Overange Variator on it. is it worth it or not for a stock bike we will stay in the stock class for at least 1 more year?

I would say if your runnin the belt all the way to the top and there is more left in the bike than yes.I see you getting alot better bottom and top end out of it with the over range.

Well i for one like the stock FRC clutch,we run stock clutches in all our quads, but we race mx.The newer Apex with the airbox under the seat seams a lot slower vs.the model with forward facing carb to me.We use Access(DRR) gears and 19-30 gearing,a bit bigger exhaust port, old style exhaust with new muffler, stock frc clutch with Drr blue torque spring and red clutch springs and 4.25 rollers.Test and fine tune and there is moore power to get from the stock parts.
Here is a vid from Sondres last race, even with a bad torque spring he took both hole shots that day.Sorry about the bad filming, got a bit carried away

overrange does not have a clutch with it.You use the clutch you have on there now.

I don't see the point in an overrange front without the rear but will see.

OK so here is the low down on the oversize vari kit avg.in 200' stock was 6.24 sec. with the over vari 5.87 almost 4 tenths ok but in 200' thats almost 2 mph faster. Corner to corner it pulls alot harder. You can also hear the difference when you listen to it because it stays at a more level tone for a longer time. Over all I am happy with the out come will see this saturday how it works on the track.
