I just purchased a 2003 KFX 80 and I am looking for a service manual that I can download or is there even one available. Is there a place I can buy the tank decals for a reasonable price?:D

A guy on ebay was selling a manual on CD.
Like 10 bucks. It's a good deal.
If you need to know something. Just ask. Plenty of ppl here to help you. :)

Thanks good to know. I did notice that when you give it the gas it has a hesitation like the belt is slipping. Is there a way to adjust this or do you have to replace the belt? I am pretty sure that all the restrictors have been removed and it does have an hmf pipe.

That's prolly the famous LT80 bog. LOL
Belts last forever.
You should clean the carb and service the clutchs. Maybe some of the bog is in there.

Okay I will try that. I was also wondering if the stator and battery are big enough to run a head light? What would I have to do to run a head light?

I hear some ppl get a LED light and install it (this is what I'd do).
Most say that the light will drain the battery on a long ride but it isn't a problem.
Ricky Stator sells a light/stator kit. I forget who else sells a lighted hood.

I agree with LT80 on the LED light, but it's more of a 'conspicuity' light (so people can see YOU) rather than a headlight. I have found that if you're outrunning output of the LED light, you're probably going too fast anyway. I have gotten mine from autozone (it's a 12-led one). If you're set on a headlight, maier makes the hood with a molded-in light, it's under $100. I would rather spend another $90.00 on a pullstart kit than a hi-output stator. These bikes are super-easy to pullstart and plus it's alot easier to install.

Good Luck, YO

I saw that pull start kit on ebay for 100 bucks but it doesn't appear to come with the string and handle from what I have seen. Maybe that is not a big deal because maybe just get a lawn mower string and handle. Does any one have the measurements for what the toe in would be? :D

The pull start comes complete with cord and lil rubber handle that fits in place to seal the clutch cover.

1/8 toe in is fine.

1/8 inch toe in, is that all?

More than enough actually.

How would you go about for measuring toe in an then adjusting the tie rods? Thanks!:D
