Keep the town of Joplin,MO in your prayers, I go to college less than an hour away from there. 89 are dead and countless injured after a mile wide F4 tornado tore through Sunday evening. I have friends and family that are missing down there, there homes are destroyed and livelihoods lost.... Its really hard to deal with...

Prayers sent. The people of the south know all too well what those people are going through.

Just got word that Joplin is getting pounded again with bad storms, there was a small tornado spotted in the area again. I am under a tornado warning, with funnel clouds heading in the direction of where i live... I have shoes by my bed and the storm shelter cleaned out... Its scary in MO lately... Every other day we get a bad scare...

UPDATE!!!

Death toll has risen to 122.

Oklahoma Tornado Kills 2 and injuries an unkown number...

Got some word from a friend of mine who was in the tornado, he is fine, and his home is fine. He was on the highway when the tornado hit, thankfully his trusty Subaru saved his life... Thank god for Subaru STI's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Same here. We had plenty of destruction of our own. We had major major flooding and the flat winds toppled trees everywhere. It might as well have been a tornado. Prayers for those also dealing with the weather.

It must be quiet a sight to see a tornado....we had a small one in this area 10 years ago all it did was knock over a tree but it made the front page. I couldn't imagine dealing with constant storms like you guys...

Wishing all of those who lost anyone or anything in these storms a quick recovery.

Scarey stuff, we had a tornado touch down in Philadelpia last week and we were getting tornado warnings in NJ.

warning sirens going off now here. steped outside to have a look and a huge rush of cold air came by, almost like it's winter...it was just 80ยบ. were going to find a basement and see how it goes.
