anyone know how the boy is doing that landed on number 8 of hixson? at steel city?

he is really sick. His spine is fractured, not moving from the waist down. Chest tube in one side and fluid on the other...Not good, prayers are def needed.

Who is the injured rider? I noticed there were 3 DNF's in moto 2.

It was going around the pits that it was Clay Pearson but I do not know 100%. But whom ever it is all our prayers and hopes go out to the rider and the family.

Update as of this a.m. From Shan
After the MRI the Drs have told Shan and the
Family that the spinal cord was completely apart.
In the t-4 t-5 area.
Drs are discussing a blood transfusion today, due to blood
Loss and pressures being low.
Please keep praying!!!

Man I hate to hear when people get hurt that bad riding quads. I always try to stay positive and pray they recover well. So they can ride again one day.

So sorry to hear that about Clay. Our whole family will be praying for his healing. He's the same age as my oldest son. They raced together many times. Makes me sick to my stomach.

Please keep us posted with updates and if anyone knows where he is so we can send something to let him know people are thinking of him and his family. This family is one of the best at the track always there to help. He always took the time to talk to my son about riding and we are so sorry this has happened to him. We hope he gets better and is back at the track soon. We are praying for you Clay get better soon.

word is he has no feeling from waiste down fractured his back in 2 places and was bleeding bad but last update he was stable condition. check facebook for more posts.

Latest update we have is that his spinal cord was torn and he is paralyzed. He had surgery Thursday to place a rod for stabilization. He is still at Childrens Hospital in Pitt. Clay is one of the nicest and most polite young men we have ever been around.

He still has a chest tube and the bleeding around his lungs has stopped, doing better but of course this will change the rest of his life. Thanks for the prayers and support.
