sproket sizes

first off does any one no what the stock 400ex sprocket sizes are? also what size should i go up front to get more top speed but still have a litte low end grunt if possible lol if not i guess top speed just for a dirt stip sooo. thanks guys

up to 04 they are 15/38

05+ 14/39

i think it is a 94 link chain on the old ones for 15/38, it would probably work well on the 14/39 also

front sprockets
up=faster less low end
down=more low end

rear
smaller=faster
bigger= low end

with your 18s on your 99 i would say that a 16/38 would be close to stock gearing.

i running stock if i go up do i need a new chain? or can i adjust it enough?

you will be able to adjust it out far enough to run a 16/38 setup.
