Which oversized bars and mounts ?

Im looking at the "fat" or oversized bars for my 400 . i will also need some oversized clamps for the stock stem too . Also how much better are the oversized bars vs. the standard size?

I recommend the Tusk "Chub" bars as well as tusk oversize bar clamps. I have had them on my 400 and they have been awesome. I would also suggest getting the CR High Bend bars as well. I am 6'2" and the bend feels nice and aggressive yet roomy. Here is a pic of how they look.

Ill have to check those out . Im only about 5'4" but growing since im 14 . Where did you find the tusk clamps and how much were they also ? i dont wanna spend $80 on clamps.

The bars & clamps were around $80 together and another $20 or so for the center pad. You definitely won't find a better deal on over-sized bars! Also, the CR High bend is lower than the stock 400ex bars so they should fit you much better. I purchased both the clamps and bars from this rockymountainatv (http://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/). I have the portaper contours and love them I have the atv mid bends and they feel perfect to me, they are just a little lower than the stock bars.

I like the pro taper or renthal bars best , question is will the $35 tusk clamps work with them ?

Yes, they are advertised as universal fit for any over-sized set of bars.
