I got a leaking valve cover gasket. I'm obviously gonna replace it but I think i might go for a rebuild while im in there too. Im on like a 200-ish dollar budget. I'm thinking that i will do a 416, 10:1 wiseco piston, valve seals, and sparks key. Will I be able to run 93 octane with they sparks key? I have access to 100 octane if needed for a hot day. If I do this Build I'm gonna try posting alot of pics. I also think my quad might have a stage one hotcam as its got that tap sound and it pulls good from bottom to mid, then its not as much on top.

for 200 bucks you wont be able to do all of that. a piston and bore will run you that much by themselves. that is unless you get a good deal on ebay or something. i usually say a piston is at least 150 and a bore is at least 50 and usually around 70-80 depending on the shop prices per hour.

the key is another 50 with the side case cover and shipping and valve seals will be another 20-40 bucks. I havent checked prices on them for a while to know for sure.

i never had any issues with 93 with my 10:1 and 6 degree key but there are some people that do. just depends on the gas quality and conditions that it is ridden in. i never really ride above 80 degrees so it never really got real hot on my.

Well my grandpa can Bore the engine for me and i decided I might just leave the key out because I dont wanna have to worry about having enough money to fill my quad lol. And valve seals are 21 dollars for all 4 from denniskirk. Wiseco Piston kit from partsforatvs.com for 139 if I do a 86mm piston, I think mine is currently is a 402ex, then i could get gaskets with that for 25 dollars. Putting my total at about 185 dollars. Does anyone see anything I missed?
