48 pilot with lid on?

I got my quad running great except for idleing. I currently have a 50 pilot in, and i'm wonderig if i should go back down to the stock 48. I see people with their airbox lid off running a stock pilot, and i have my lid on still. i'm only running a 135 main jet with the middle clip on the needle. should a smaller pilot help my quad idle?

try adjusting the fuel screw first and see where it idles the best

Yeah i've been trying that. it will idle when it's warm alright, but it's no where near perfect! i don't have a 48 or i'd throw it in an try it.
