sooo after hunting high and low i can not find my spare nor my other key to my ltr....What do you have to do to get a new key? and how much does it cost?

I just went through the same thing. I just took my ignition off and took it to a locksmith.18 bucks for 2 keys.

dealers can usually make keys. you either need the code off the ignition, or the ignition itself.

You should really just go the locksmith route. I called 3 different dealers around me (including the one I bought the quad from) and they wanted nothing to do with me.

i think that is what im going to do, i know the dealer here wouldnt be very helpful...is there any certain type of locksmith or can just about all of them do it?

well i got it situated thanks to the local shop actually. Lock smiths wanted like 100 bucks and i know the guy that owns the local yamaha/suzuki shop so i went and took my ignition to him and he came up with an idea. He went to the back and brought out another ignition from a different suzuki and it had both keys . He said to try and take them apart and switch out the tumblers. So i did and bam good as new and i got 2 keys....best part was he gave it to me for free. Couldn't complain one bit and very satisfied a dealer took the liberty to help a fellow rider out. thanks guys for the ideas
