I'd say you've already answered your own question. That K&N is letting dirt in your motor! Thats BAD. Take that K&N and toss it in the garbage. Cleaning filters is a fact of life and a necesarry evil. Cleaning that filter is MUCH easier/cheaper than replacing valves, pistons, and rings in your motor.

you might just want to try a different brand of cleaner and oil for the uni might make it easier, never had any issues.

U running a pre filter on that k&n? When oiled properly and with prefilter I don't have any dirt in my air boot. I can also say if u ride in really dry dusty conditions stick with the foam filters. Where I ride its not real dry and dusty all the time.

PJ1 foam/fabric cleaner and the PJ1 foam filter oil spray will clean er up quick without using alot, and its easy. Spray a couple of light coats. It doesn't take as much as u think give it time to soak in or it will be dripping into your airbox and suckin in your airboot.
