looking to buy used rear shock for my 86 250r. is the length of shock the same from 86,87 to the 88,89 years? are they just valved diferently?

88/89 IS SHORTER. I HAVE AN 86 IN GOOD WORKING ORDER I'LL SELL PRETTY CHEAP IF YOUR INTERESTED. IT'S MISSING THE BUMP STOP.
