85 atc250r what can we use on the trx?

85 Atc250r exactly what parts can be used on the trx? Everything from the motor back?

Really just the engine.

The swinger, etc could bolt on but there are alot of differences. The main one being the carrier diameter and axle sprocket hub location. If you use all of it, it should fit but you can't mix and match.

That is all assuming that you have an 86-87 TRX.

you can use the axle nut, hubs, axle end nuts, brake disc, brake caliper, motor, carb(if you want to downgrade, 86 carb is same as trx), clutch cable, thumb throttle, front brake pads, brake rotor hub, dogbone-swingarm bolt, swingarm bolt, clutch lever, rear wheels. You can use the 85 throttle cable if you are using a 38/39 pwk or similar carb.
If its a 86, you can also use the carb, throttle cable, shock linkage(85 works too, but its a smaller bottom bolt w/ smaller bushings), complete swingarm assem/brake assem.

Lol! I know what your thinking and the thought already crossed my mind. I can't find the ad anymore did you already pick it up? For that price Ide say it would be worth it just for the motor.

I picked it up it runs good blows 180 psi starts on the first 2 kicks. It's scary fast get the pics on face book check it out. I just got it for the motor the rest will be parted out.
Any one wants parts..... hit me up ill post a pic tomorrow.

i did one more compression test when i was striping it down. just under 200psi...... im stoked i wounder what has been done to the motor it didnt feel stock
its gonna be a good spare motor for my trx

Must have something done to the motor, look at that swinger. Looks extended to me. Why don't u put a CR500 in it and buy a missile kit? Just an idea.

swing arm is a +10 this atc came from cali. i talked to the 1st owner years ago. missile kits are hard to find insted of puting a cr500 motor in it i rather ride the cr500 lol

I'm pretty sure u can still get them new. Expensive though. Someone reading this post a link please! Cr500 is a bit too much bike for me. I no can even touch the ground lol.

Had one or two ATC's for sale here on Oahu awhile ago. Then someone posted a stolen ad on CL for 86. I'm not sure if it was the same one though
