Name this part.

This is a piece of ATV history, does anyone know what it is? This was hand delivered by Allen Knowles of CT racing to a good friend of mine many years ago. It's a very rare piece and very collectable. You must have the proper name for it. It's posted on one of the other forums and nobody has got it right yet.

did it go on the side of a motorcycle with i think they were called hacky seats that a co rider sat in and helped when running circle tracks and it was were they placed sponsor stickers?

If nobody gets it, I'll reveal soon. There's one member on here that I feel will know exactly what it is, hopefully he'll check it out. The correct name for it comes from the place it was first used. A few guys are close as to what it is.

By "place", I assume you mean geographically, not the location on the quad?

If it's some type of spoiler or scoop, then it has to be a high-speed race. Pikes Peak?

Look at that, we have a winner. The correct name is Porterville Foil. It was made by CT racing for three-wheelers and originally used at a high speed flat track in Porterville, Ca. Supposedly created down force on the front wheel at very high speeds. In my opinion it is kinda ugly, but it is racing history nonetheless.
