what tires for rausch ( mx/trails in general)

hey, i think im gonna be heading down to rausch creek in june for the exriders ride and i wanna get a nice set of mx tires for it.im getting a 400ex very soon and only plan on doing nerfs and a few small things,nothing major.after the nerfs (ac pro peg if none are on the one i buy) i want to get a set of 18in. tires on beadlock rims or possibly .190s.i think i want the beadlocks for the extra durability and strenght.what tires would you recomend for the track and i also want to do some trail ridng while im there..im thinking 18in kenda klaws on beads or douglas .190's..what do you guys think,possibly turfs but not sure about the woods/trail part.

can't got wrong with holeshot mx's. they work nice for everything IMO

yea the holeshots are nice but i heard they wear down fast and i think im deciding on the kendas. how does 18in kenda klaws on .190 rims on the back and 20in front tires,maybe klaw fronts or something....i think im gonna go klaws because everyone has been saying there so good,any pics would be cool too...thanks guys

kenda klaw mxf (front) 20in on douglas .190
kenda klaw mxr (rear) 18/10.5/9 on douglas .190s

this is for mx and some woods/trail,i think it should work good..what do you think.

i told you you don't need beadlocks. you don't have a high hp engine.... just get 18x10x8 razrs Mx's like me. and get 20x10x6 fonts. all on .190's. oh douglas. can't forget chrome stems:chinese: :chinese:

i ran a 23/22 set up. best trail set up IMO

my buds ran 22/20 and were hitting rocks and roots all day

yea but 23/22 on a track....no thanks...its either the razrs or klaws.i think im gonna get klaws to be different lol...im not sure..any opinions,this will be fr a mostly stock 400ex

i have not yet rode the Klaws but have been doing a bit of homework on them, the few guys who ride/rode them were very happy with them on the MX track..i will probably get these as my next tire but im gonna stick with 18" rears cause i oinly ride MX..so i would say get them, there cheaper than the holeshots too and will last a lot longer...IMO

ok lol i was gonna say thats crazy 23/22 on mx...yea from every few people that have the klaws say there awsome so im gonna get 18 klaw rears,20 front...what size rear rims would you recomend,8 or 9...thanks

i was clearing the first big table, the step up and a few of the doubles with the 23/22 set up

it can be done, just a little harder thats all

yeah eric i definitely wouldnt get beadlocks, waiste of money for u. i would get turf tamers though... theyre cheaper and are just as good...

ooooo btw, i bought a set of turf tamer 18" for rausch and only used them one day in rausch mounted on douglas .190 rims...
let me know if yer interested cause i live rite by u... theyre in mint condition, almost no wear on them

but fronts are a waiste of money for one trip, hell i saw people with 22 inch mud tires tearing it up there, but one thing i learned while there is that its mostly rider.

I saw a kid with a 400 with everything (had a rich dad) and he cased that little double in the enduro and broke his leg... this quad had everything! TCS shocks front and rear, sparx exhaust full, prob motor work, MX tires, like everything! and he was probaly 12 or sooo....
