kill tether bad?

ok guys dumb question here but here goes lol My 400ex came with an old pro design kill tether but it was not hooked up lol so i decided to hook it up a while back, i know i did it right just like steve did.so when i started my quad it would spit and sputter and you would have to keep it going with lots of throttle. so i unhooked it and she runs great so does this just mean it was a bad switch? or what lol i guess thats all it could be but i dont know:)

also i have new plastic and Go For It Graphics coming and not alot of 400exs have g4 graphics so ill post pics when i get them.

it sounds like it corroded up or something inside. it should not run at all if it is pulled out to shut it off.

i would say that it is messed up for sure. it may come apart but i doubt it. might be worth a shot to clean it out inside before buying a new one.

ok thanks steve ill buy another one, that one broke a while ago also there is another question for ya on your write up on how to install one. lol ill keep ya busy lol;)
