you have to reroute everything and move the solenoid to the inside of the frame rail next to the motor the harness still has a toggle switch that acts as the key and it is cheap looking I would rather have the key plus the brp harness the fan does not run all the time unlike the bcs harness.

I have them on all 3 of my bikes, would not have it any other way. You do have to strip the bike and start over(kind of). Not real simple but very clean when its done. Takes a couple hours to install

Just plastic... it's not to tough, you just remove the old harness...uses stock engine harness. It comes with very detailed instructions.

WE have them on the practice bike and the race bike ,
it goes from 3 exposed relays to 2 sealed relays , it moves the selenoid next to the starter ( where it should be ) , no more keyswitch , prewired for a killswitch tether .
does completely away with the entire lighting system ,(relays lights , wiring, rectifier ETC)
what do you need in a race bike ? on off and start switch (the rest does not matter!)
I love the brp harness!

We buy them from BRP race dept direct , you will probably need to buy one through your dealer or Warnert as stated ,
BCS , also rewires your harness and takes out the unneeded wiring for a little less money .

Call Jason at BCS ,
You can send him your harness and he will "re-work" it for you for less money.
Tell him Canamracerdad sent you.

Quick question about the harness. I installed one last year on a DS that popped like crazy and didnt have any power mid to top. Well its been sitting for about a year now and i decided to try and fix the problem. We've been running full HMF exhausts on all our other bikes without FMI's (efi controller) and they all run great for us. Would this be the problem with the race harness? Is there something different than the stock one that would be making it run bad without an FMI installed?

look at your trigger wires , and especially the wires that hook to the coils , .... then run the bike at night , in total dark , and look for sparks , sounds to me like a coil trigger or spark plug wire

Well i finally think i fixed the problem. I had 2 mechanics from warnert and Dee from rage atv on the phone all day trying to figure this thing out. Literally changed out everything off a spare bike. Nothing worked so i decided to swap out the BRP race harness for a spare BCS harness i had laying around. Wired it all up and bam, runs like a charge. I didnt get a chance to ride it hard cause it was too dark but it didnt pop at all and ran smooth. Im going to send the brp harness back to the race shop and have them look it over.
