Cam Question

i just got a stage 1 hot cam for my 400 and i took the flange off my old cam and there was a key way and a hole for a spring and stuff but on the new cam that i got there was none of that is that not right or if it is right how do i get the flange and stuff on to that?

All that "stuff" you are talking about does not get used w/ the Hot Cam (at least w/ the stage 2, I am guessing it is the same w/ the stage 1). Just leave it off. Make sure you get the spring & rod thing out of the head, it wouldn't be good for them to the internals of the engine. Press the flange on it so you can reattach the timing gear & slap that bad boy in there.

the only thing that goes on the new cam is the flange. You need to line up the dot on the cam with the double key way on the flange.
