after i wash the quad i always wipe all the plastic down with armorall. It seams to make it real shiny and make the mud not stick to it as bad. And my buddy who has a KFX said he sprays rain x on the swing arm and the mud does not stick as bad.

On red plastic you can use automatic transmission fluid. It works good for a temporary shine. It is really cheap, so you might want to try it on yours

shine it up with floor wax like future or mop & glo it leaves it nice and shiny, helps keep the mud off, and puts kind of a protective finish on it.

on the white you can sand the crap off with a find paper then take a torch and hold it way back to hsine it up. just on the white tho. but the torce trick works on all colors

Yeah floor polish works good. I'm pretty sure that is what they put in the Plastic Renew kits with a little hunk of sandpaper, steel wool, and a paper towel and charge you $20 for it. lol
You can sand down, buff, and repolish your plastic. It takes a long time to do a good job though. Made a big difference in my R but very time consuming.

well to just clean them Grease lightning and any cleaner thats purple works exelent!!

i just use Armoral protectant. workes great until it gets really dirty.. buth then you just wash it off and do it again..

over all i think its the cheapest and quickest. spray on wipe off.

Mop N Glo works absolute wonders!!!!! After you wash it put a very light coat on it, let it dry completly, then put another coat on it. I usually do about 3 coats and from a distance it makes my plastic look almost new! The trick is to not over coat it. Dont put it on too thick at once and let it dry inbetween or it will run.

to the last post....

it's a 3 to 1 ratio in a spray bottle like windex.
3 parts water.

armoral is oil based, dust will cling to it like a magnet.
i use mop-n-glo, and or windex. anything that's not oil based will work to make decent plastic look good.

..what's wrong with your plastic, is it scratched, with dirt in the scratches, is it faded or what.

I use the same polish that I use on my shiny aluminum. It will clean off the dirt like a charm. On my white plastics the red dirt always stains and won't come off with cleaner so I get out the polish and rub it off! This doesn't bring back the shine though if that is what you are trying to do.
